Asynchronous Friday, February 12th! If you are not finished with your board game, your dream treehouse, or your fun food sandwich, please finish those first.
Options: (choose 1)
1. Art activity "Roll-a-dice" and draw a cactus!! Grab some dice and roll your way to draw a cactus. If you do not have dice, number 1-6 on separate papers and draw the numbers out of a hat. For example, if you roll or draw a 4, you draw the pot shape in the number 4 row. If you roll or draw a 2, you draw the cactus shape in the number 2 row, etc. Try it a few times and have fun drawing a cactus! Color in your cactus when you are finished.
2. Create a "goofy creature" using found objects around your house. Think about paper towel rolls, Q-tips, legos etc. Be creative!
3. Create a Color Wheel using found objects around your house. Start with the color red and follow with the other colors.
4. Draw Valentine's Day card for each member of your family or create your own Valentine craft!
January 19th-21st Project 1: Seahorse Day 1. 1. Draw seahorse 2. Add details to the body and add a few other sea creatures 3. Trace over pencil with black crayon 4. Start to color your seahorse and sea creatures
Day 2: 1. Finish coloring in your seahorse and sea creatures 2. Color or paint your background
PROJECT 2: BOARD GAME Synchronous Day 1: 1. Draw the pathway for your very own board game. 2. Add a title to your board game.
Asynchronous Day 2: 1. Fill in the spaces of your pathway. Examples, move forward 2 spaces, take a card, draw images. 2. Trace your drawing with black crayon or marker.
Synchronous Day 3: 1. Add detail on the outside of your board game. 2. Trace with black crayon or marker
Asynchronous Day 4: Step 1: Color in your board game!
Project 3: "Dream" Treehouse Synchronous 1. Practice drawing a treehouse on a scrap piece of paper. Add as may details as possible to your "dream" treehouse! 2. Add details to your background.
Day 2: Asynchronous 1. Start drawing your "dream" treehouse on the big construction paper, Draw the tree trunk and the shape of your treehouse first. 2. Start adding as many details as you possibly can to your treehouse and to the background.
Day 3: Synchronous 1. Continue to draw any additional details to your treehouse and the background. 2. Trace over your pencil drawing with a black crayon, black marker, or black colored pencil. 3. Start to color your treehouse.
Day 4: Asynchronous 1. Finish coloring your treehouse and your background.
Project 4: "Fun Food" Sandwich Day 1: Synchronous 1. Practice drawing any fun food; cupcakes, candy, pizza, popsicles, etc. on a practice piece of paper. Day 2: Asynchronous Day 2: Start your "fun food" sandwich on the big piece of white construction paper. 1. Draw the top and bottom bread of your sandwich. 2. Draw the fun food of your choice starting from the bottom and work up to the top. Draw in layers and have your fun food overlap as you draw each layer.
Day 3: Synchronous 1. Continue adding layers of fun food to your sandwich. 2. Start to color your fun food sandwich. Day 4: Asynchronous 1. Finish coloring in your fun food sandwich and the background.
Project 5: Falling out of the sky Day 1: Synchronous 1. Trace your shoes and hands in the areas seen below. 2. Draw the body template and then add any details you would like.
Day 2: Asynchronous 1. Finish adding and detail to your drawing. 2. Start to color in your person and the background. Day 3: Synchronous: 1. Finish coloring in your entire drawing.
